Lynne Ann Schwarzenberg will be teaching in Mount Vernon, Wa. at Carol Evan's studio May 5,6,and 7. Information required for these workshops should be on the posters below. This is a great opportunity for Northwest polyclayers to attend a workshop by this very talented artist. Mount Vernon is just a few miles south of the Canada/U.S border.
Bettina Welker will be giving a workshop in Victoria in August. Full information is on the poster below. Be sure to sign up early as space is limited. Contact either Barb Alexander or Irene Corman for registration.
It has been a while since our last post. I am not sure if anyone else has had a problem signing into the Yahoo Group but it seems to be down now. We will attempt to keep you up to date on future Guild activities. I have had a couple of questions and e-mails regarding people interested in meeting or getting together locally for claying so will try to keep you up to date on that. In the meantime if anyone is interested here is news on a fairly local retreat.
Just a heads up that Art and Soul will once again be in Portland, Or Feb.29 - March 6, 2016. Laurie Mika will do four classes and Leslie Blackford and Wendy Malinow team up for their Garden of Earthly delights workshop.
FYI I have recently received an
e-mail from Paula Beltgens of the Vancouver Island Guild regarding a newgroup on Facebook. If you are a Facebook
member and live within the Cascadia area please check it out.
“In response to several requests to have an avenue for sharing
information about resources and collaborating on events and workshops along the
Pacific Northwest (US & Canada), there is now a Cascadia Polymer Clay
Meet-Up Facebook Group for enthusiasts in BC, Washington and Oregon. If you’re
interested, please go to this link https://www.facebook.com/groups/739384796190339/
and click on Join. Once you are a
member of the Cascadia Group, you can invite and approve other members as well.”
